Hi friends, let’s talk about shame!
Shame is like a silent weight we carry, often buried deep within us. It lingers in unspoken words, in memories we hide, in the fear of being seen too closely. The more we push it into the shadows, the stronger it seems to grow.
On Shame
Shame lives
in the shadows,
shame lives
in secrecy,
shame lingers deep
like unwanted cloth
in the depth
of our cupboards.
Shame clings to the soul,
sticky as dust
on damp skin.
Open up the curtains!
Let’s shed light on shame.
Not to shame away
the shame,
but to face it
and embrace it,
to hold it
and to soften it
until it dissolves
in lightful presence.
Bring light to shame
so you can shine.
True healing begins when we stop hiding our shame and start acknowledging it. Light doesn’t erase what’s in the dark - it reveals, it softens, and it transforms. By confronting our shame with compassion rather than judgment, we allow it to lose its grip. And in that process, we make space for something greater - our own radiance.
So, open the curtains. Let the light in. And shine.
Love
Rose
